Edmonton Huma Swim Club ("HUMA") is a competitive summer swim club affiliated with the Alberta Summer Swim Association.
HUMA offers high quality coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve their swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability.
It is our mission to enable children to strive to be the best swimmers they can be, as well as instilling a strong sense of team spirit.
HUMA is built on the following foundation:
- The Club offers competitive and development swimming programs to youth
- The Club is a not-for-profit organization
- The Club is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors
- The Club is based in central Edmonton, and trains in the University of Alberta’s West Pool
- Our coaches respect the abilities and are committed to the development of swimmers
- Practices are held during late afternoons and evenings over the summer swim season, with the opportunity for competitions on weekends
- Swimmers and families are encouraged to wear HUMA clothing and everything purple to practices and at swim meets
- Members are expected act in accordance with Swim Alberta’s Code of Conduct and Ethics
